Added tests documenting archive-format compatibility gaps for a future development-preview publisher and a plan for public-page search discovery. This release adds tests and documentation without changing teacher or student features, archive acceptance or search-crawler settings. Remote previews remain paused.
New practice and quiz questions can draw incorrect choices from the supported instrument range, even when only a few target notes are selected. Note-name choices prefer matching accidental types where safe alternatives exist, reducing visual clues. Selected target notes and saved questions retain their existing behavior. Also added tested archive-validation groundwork for a future development-preview publisher; remote previews remain paused.
The public homepage now includes its practice choices and teacher-feature link before JavaScript finishes loading. Practice buttons wait until they are ready so early clicks are not lost. Assignment and direct-practice links retain their existing loading and navigation behavior.
The homepage teacher invitation now links to the available Pro Beta features instead of describing the beta as upcoming. Removed an obsolete development metadata label and recorded the initial search-discoverability audit; broader search improvements are still in preparation.
The owner workspace now separates Overview, Teachers and Tools, with searchable teacher cards and mobile-friendly activity charts. Website activity adds separate daily assignment-opening totals without student identifiers. Counting starts with this release; refreshes and reopens can count again, so totals are not unique students.
Teachers can explore a dismissible visual welcome tour and reopen it from their dashboard. Owners can draft, preview, publish and retire dashboard announcements, with remembered dismissals and no stacked automatic dialogs. Student practice and the public demo are unchanged; no announcement is published automatically.
Owners can now read teacher feedback and possible practice mistakes from their private workspace, with newest-first pages, refresh and question investigation links. Reports remain private and unverified; no deletion or replies are added.
Right-hand valve players can now press Space or Enter to check a held fingering, including open answers. French horn controls are unchanged: Enter checks the answer and Space remains the double-horn trigger.
Brass players can answer staff-to-fingering questions by holding keyboard keys like valves, then pressing Enter. Includes animated piston valves, left-hand French horn spatulas and trigger, four-valve options, tap controls and supported alternate fingerings. Available in free practice and teacher assignments; multiple choice remains the default.
Teachers can analyze an assignment with average and median scores, score distributions, most-missed questions and instrument breakdowns. Filter quizzes or practice and all or latest attempts. Class summaries group concert pitches; instrument details retain written notes and octaves. Includes fictional analysis in the teacher demo. Development previews remain paused.
Added a public teacher demo with interactive assignment settings, three fictional assignments, six sample results, note-by-note review and sample CSV downloads. The demo creates no teacher account, real assignment or student link. Piano and mallet practice now offers a mallet-bar visual alongside piano keys. Practice shows your current correct-answer streak and best streak for the session. Quiz scoring stays unchanged. Fixed keyboard answer choices overflowing narrow screens.
Teachers can save and load private assignment presets, search assignment titles and sort their links. Notes now expands directly beneath its selected submission. Fixed mobile dashboard overflow and improved development-preview cleanup.
Teachers can now subscribe to Note Lab Pro Beta for $19.99 for the first year, then $29.99/year, with applicable tax shown at checkout. Paid access includes assignments, results and CSV export with private email sign-in. Individual practice remains free and students do not need accounts.
